Sto. Tomas, Batangas – EyeSite by Asian Eye Institute officially launched its eye care center and optical shop inside the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) on April 27, 2018. Gracing the event were the executives from First Philippine Holdings Corp. (FPHC), Asian Eye Institute (AEI) and SFCMC.
In 2015, Asian Eye partnered with SFCMC to provide patients from Southern Luzon and nearby provinces expert eye care delivered with the compassionate care that Filipinos are known for. Apart from complete eye exams, EyeSite also offers diagnostic procedures and treatment and management for different eye conditions that include cataracts, retinal problems, glaucoma and cornea and external disease like pterygium (pugita) and stye (kuliti). It features EyeScan, an eye disease pre-screening service and a first-of-its-kind technology that can detect signs of potentially blinding conditions in 5 to 10 minutes.
EyeSite offers an array of optical products that range from prescription glasses to sunglasses, contact lenses and specialized eyewear like safety goggles with eye grade. It offers immense value-for-money where patients can avail of all-in eyeglasses package for as low as Php1,490.00 and reading glasses at 3 for Php499.00.
According to Asian Eye President Mr. Benjamin Liboro, “More people now have lifestyle-related conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, which makes them more vulnerable to conditions that can lead to blindness. The thing is, if they don’t get their eyes checked by an ophthalmologist regularly, they won’t know until they start experiencing vision problems or they start losing their vision.”
This is why we introduced EyeSite,” he adds, “We want to educate people that eye care is more than just wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses, and that getting a complete eye exam is the first step to protecting their vision. Through EyeSite, we are able to bring complete, innovative yet affordable eye care closer them. They can enjoy the comfort and convenience of having access to expert eye doctors, quality optical products and a caring and competent medical team to help them care for their eyes.”
EyeSite offers eye care packages to cater to the different eye care needs and the changing lifestyles of patients. Asian Eye Chief Operating Officer Mr. Alwin Sta. Rosa shares, “We offer packages specifically designed for diabetics, families, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and senior citizens. In fact, we have cataract surgery packages for seniors who are also members of PhilHealth. Our lolos and lolas can restore their vision, enjoy caring for their kids and grandchildren, and continue to lead active and productive lives.”
The partnership with SFCMC has also enabled EyeSite to accept a variety of HMOs. Sta. Rosa shares, “This has allowed us to serve more patients. We believe that health insurance coverage encourages people to get their eyes checked regularly and seek medical treatment early from their trusted doctor or eye care facility.”
At present, EyeSite also has an optical shop at the Oasis Commercial Center in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP). EyeSite expects to open more branches within the year. Its services will soon be made available in Mandaluyong City, in partnership with Unilab’s Reliance Care, Inc., and in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite.
We deliver to all our patients the highest quality eye care on a par with the best in the world. We make high-quality eye care available and accessible to the Filipinos. We advance the science and practice of ophthalmology and optometry in Asia and the Pacific Rim.
