We offer personalized care for our patients! We are the right eye care center to visit if you want to learn about ICL surgery.

Understanding ICL Surgery:
A Quick and Easy Guide for Patients in the Philippines

Implantable contact lens (ICL) surgery is a refractive error correction procedure designed for patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. It can only be performed by highly qualified doctors, including our ophthalmologists and specialists here at Asian Eye Institute. We use advanced equipment and facilities to ensure optimal results.

What Happens During ICL Surgery?

Before anything else, your doctor will conduct a thorough eye exam to determine your eligibility for getting an ICL. During the operation, you will be administered local anesthesia to minimize discomfort. The surgeon will then create a tiny incision in the eye and place the implantable lens there.

Who Can Get Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)

  • People Who Are Not Eligible for LASIK – If you are not eligible for LASIK, you can ask your doctor if you can get ICL surgery instead.
  • Individuals With Moderate to Severe Refractive Errors – High degrees of refractive errors can be corrected through ICL surgery.
  • Those Who Are Healthy Enough – Only healthy individuals can get ICL surgery to ensure the best results and prevent complications.

LASIK Surgery

Your doctor will first numb your eyes to prevent you from feeling any discomfort. They will then create a flap in the front part of the eye, allowing them to access the cornea and reshape it using a laser. The flap will then be returned to its place, allowing your eyes to heal quickly and naturally.

Supracor Surgery

Asian Eye Institute is the only provider of Supracor surgery in the Philippines. The procedure aims to reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses, providing presbyopic patients with greater visual freedom and convenience. The procedure is fast and safe, and it is done using precise laser technologies to reshape the cornea and effectively enhance eyesight.

TransPRK Surgery

TransPRK is a safe, fast, and effective procedure with a high success rate. The initial step is to remove your epithelium (the outermost layer of the cornea) using a specialized laser. Another type of laser will then be used to reshape the cornea to correct your refractive error.
